Nozzles and turbines are essential elements in the installation of automatic watering systems. They are sprinklers that come out of the ground under the effect of pressure to water green spaces, flowerbeds and shrubs. The nozzle is smaller than the turbine, and less powerful.

NOZZLE (RETRACTABLE NON-ROTATING SPRINKLER)

The nozzle is a fixed-jet sprinkler for continuous fine rainfall. It consists of two parts: the body and the nozzle which determines the flow rate and the area to be watered.
This underground watering system is recommended for watering small green areas, flower beds and shrubs. The nozzle is smaller than the turbine and less powerful.

This device is characterized by an “umbrella” jet. Mounted at ground level, the retractable nozzles come out of the ground under the effect of pressure and disappear into the ground once the watering is finished. The range of a nozzle can be from 2 to 5 metres depending on the nozzle. Beyond that, it is necessary to opt for watering by turbines.

TURBINE (ROTARY SPRINKLER)

In contrast to the nozzle, the turbine sprinkler is more suitable for medium to large green spaces. The long-range sprinklers have a rotating jet that covers an area of 40° to 360°.
The watering range is between 5 and 45 m. Another characteristic of the sprinklers is the pressure (between 3 and 8 bars). Many problems with sprinkler systems result from incorrectly adjusted pressures.

Like the nozzles, the pop-up sprinklers come out of the ground under the effect of the pressure and disappear into the ground once the watering is finished. This makes this watering system extremely discreet. The lawn mower can thus be passed over without damaging it.
